Terms of service

Last updated September 21, 2026

These are the terms for using Resolventum. By creating a school account you agree to them on behalf of the school.

The service

Resolventum keeps a tutoring school's calendar, students, session notes, money, and tutor pay in one place. It is provided as it is today, and it changes as we improve it. We will not remove a feature a school depends on without notice.

Accounts

The person who creates the school account is its owner and is responsible for everyone they invite. Keep your password to yourself. Tell us right away if you think an account has been used by someone who should not have it.

Trial and payment

  • Every new school gets a free trial of three weeks (21 days) with everything included and no card needed.
  • After the trial, a school subscribes through Stripe. The price is per active tutor per month and is shown on the Billing page before you subscribe. Adding a tutor raises the next invoice in proportion; archiving one lowers it.
  • You can cancel at any time from the Billing page. Access continues to the end of the period already paid for. We do not refund partial months.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries the card for a while and emails you. If it keeps failing, the school becomes read-only: you can still see and export everything, but not add or change anything, until the card is fixed.
  • If we change the price, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price applies to them.

Your data

Everything a school enters belongs to the school. We use it only to run the service for that school. You can export all of it at any time, including after you stop paying. When you close the account, or ask us to, we delete it. The privacy policy says more.

What you agree not to do

  • Enter information about people who have not agreed to be your students or their guardians.
  • Use the service to send email that the recipients did not ask for.
  • Try to get into another school's data or interfere with the service.

Money you record

Resolventum records charges and payments between the school and its families and shows balances. It is a ledger, not a bank. The school is responsible for its own invoicing, taxes, and payroll. The tax page and the year summary are aids for your accountant, not tax advice.

Availability and limits of liability

We work to keep the service up and to keep your data safe, and we back it up. We cannot promise it will never be down or never have a bug. To the extent the law allows, our liability to a school is limited to what that school paid us in the twelve months before the problem.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Resolventum whenever you like. We can close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why, and will give you time to export your data unless the reason makes that unsafe.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, schools will get an email before the change takes effect.
